full-throttle engine

full-throttle engine
A gas turbine engine that receives its take-off thrust at the maximum travel of the power lever (i.e., the throttle). The power lever is advanced to a fixed stop on the throttle quadrant at every takeoff. Various limiters in the fuel system prevent the engine from overboosting.
